Background

Over the years I have worked as a field biologist on multiple research projects. Although these were not part of my own research, they have influenced my research interests and goals.

Kaua'i Endangered Seabird Recovery Project

In 2011 and 2012 I worked as field biologist surveying for endangered seabirds on Kauai. This was part of a long-term project to enable the recovery of three endangered species through a combination of colony surveys, translocations, and invasive predator control.

You can find more information on their website and follow them on facebook.

Farallon Islands bird monitoring

In fall 2010 and 2011 I worked as a field intern for Point Blue Conservation Science monitoring migratory birds on the Farallon Islands off the coast of San Fransisco, California. We also got to help with Great White Shark, seabird, and pinniped monitoring.

You read more about the Farallon Islands research on their website and blog.
